Pest Management Policy

Integrated Pest Management

IPMWorking in association with our clients, County Pest Control uses the principles of IPM (Integrated Pest Management) in order to prevent, remove and control pests in and around the home or workplace. The purpose of this approach is to minimise the ecological impact of our processes whilst providing humane solutions.

Proactive not Reactive

We always advise our clients to adopt a proactive rather than reactive approach to pest management. This is very important where there is an increased risk of pests or of infestation such as in old buildings, schools, nurseries, surgeries or places used to store, prepare, cook, consume or dispose of food.

We aim to eliminate or minimise the presence of pests in both domestic and commercial situations, thus reducing the risks and the likelihood of potential intervention by enforcement bodies such as the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) or Environmental Health.

Managing Established Pests

Where County Pest Control is called to deal with established pests or infestations, we always take the IPM approach, using a combination of physical controls and training to eradicate the problem and to ensure that it does not return. It is our policy to use chemical intervention only as a last resort.

Cost Effective
